Well it's a new year, and in my own my I'm trying to ring it in with some style. As I look back at my 2012 posts and my website redesign, I definitely was happy with the progress that I made, but I want to continue with that momentum and continue to get better. 2013 is the year of more blog posts (preferably posts showing that I am more of a dimensional artist than a baker) and more development! Here's to starting this year off with some spunk.. |

On our drive back from Mendon yesterday, much to my brother's dismay I forced my father to stop at the nearby sunflower fields to take some pictures. My crafty little iPhone with the help of the handy Instagram app helped me that the picture to the right, and it brought me back to my summer abroad in Todi, Italy. Seeing as I just recently relocated my Blog from Italy (which really just was one post due to my lack of internet), it made me all the more nostalgic of the hot, sticky, but oh so delicious 2 months that I spent there. I reread the blog and naturally laughed hysterically, both at my unnaturally dry sense of humor and at the colorful events that I experienced. While at Bomarzo, I had the opportunity to visit centuries old sculptures, one which specifically featured the Latin phrase "Ogni pensiero vola." The phrase, which literally translates to "Every dream flies" became somewhat of a mantra of me that summer as I began to figure out what it is what I wanted out of life. Either way, thought I would share.. What could be better than reading about a pigeon pooping on my head?! (I know that intrigued you..) Or the fact that it is most appropriately titled "Redhead Goes to Italy." Enjoy! Hey Hostess, I think you better watch out, you may have some competition! My latest project has been centered around baking, and this weekend my cousins, aunt and I took on the realm of cupcakes! Overall we created 6 different flavors:
Team Carosa Cupcakes baked and frosted over 150 cupcakes! You're jealous.. I know. So in true Italian-American fashion, my family is gearing up for a big party this Saturday. What better way to explore a creative outlet then some homemade bakery cookies (or as my grandmother recently informed me, she has renamed them "L & T's"" for "Lena & Teresa's"). Stay tuned for the cupcake creations!
Ok so maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm approaching my mid-twenties, but lately I've been itching for some serious change. So first things first: my new website! Check it out and let me know what you think!
